This is a drama about three New York cops, with no connection to each other, who all have a very different approach to their jobs; narcotics detective Sal (Ethan Hawke) is worried about getting enough money for a deposit so he can move his four kids and pregnant wife out of their small and mould ridden house; Officer Eddie (Richard Gere) is a lonely alcoholic counting down the last 7 days until he retires after 22 years on the force; detective Tango (Don Cheadle) is working undercover as a drug dealer and looking for a desk job and promotion.
The story follows all three cops to a finale where their paths cross each other with deadly consequences.
If you like any kind of gritty cop film, chances are that you’ll enjoy this. I thought it was good and the performances great, especially Gere who gives a fine performance after years of starring in second rate movies.
