Samsung Galaxy Tab launches with overpriced fanfare

Samsung has launched the first serious competitor to the feeble iPad complete with wholly unrealistic pricing to drive away the punters.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab costs around a hundred quid more than the cheapest iPad, is smaller, uglier, built using cheaper materials with a worse screen and comes complete with Flash support to ensure even the most modest browsing session quickly turns into a sluggish chore.

500 quid for something like this makes the Apple offering look like a bargain and that was grossly overpriced in the first place. It doesn’t make any difference though, the same queue’s of drooling brain-dead early adopters are already slavering over the Galaxy Tab whilst grinning retailers are rubbing their hands with glee at all the suckers who will be paying over the odds for something that’ll be much cheaper in a few months time.
